These tiny insects sure create a lot of havoc. Fleas are just looking for a good meal. Unfortunately, what’s on the menu is blood and they don’t care who their host is?you, your family or your pets. They’re incredibly good jumpers, so they can easily move from host to host in your home, biting and making everyone itchy and miserable. Bug Ivey can make sure they stop plaguing you.

About Fleas

When fleas bite, they transmit diseases and parasites from the blood of previous hosts to their new targets, including: bubonic plague and tapeworms. That’s serious business. In the moderate climate of the Carolinas, fleas can be found anywhere outdoors, year-round. When your or your pets go outside, fleas can easily jump onto clothing or fur and be transported into your home. Once they infiltrate your house, they can make your life miserable, causing painful, itchy rashes and spreading dangerous pathogens. Most flea treatments are ineffective. Flea cocoons are resistant to common pesticides, so the next infestation is brewing once the larvae mature.

Say good-bye to fleas. Bug Ivey can treat your home and yard, keeping your family and pets safe.

Flea Treatment Information

Your technician will thoroughly inspect your home to detect suspected or active flea activity. Fleas survive from the blood of their host animal, so they tend to be located in areas that  animals frequent inside of your house. Your technician will also inspect areas such as your attic, basement, crawl space and other entry points, where wildlife and rodents can bring fleas in.

  • After your inspection, your technician will implement a customized insecticide program for your home, designed to kill active adult fleas and prevent existing eggs and larvae from fully maturing. Vacuuming over the next two weeks is paramount to accomplishing control of fleas. Vacuuming removes live adult fleas and also triggers existing fleas to hatch and come in contact with the insecticide.

  • After your treatment has been completed, we will guarantee your home free from fleas for 30 days from the date of your treatment. If you have any issues during your warranty period, let us know and we will send a technician at no cost to you.
