Racoons

Racoons may look awfully cute, but they’re notorious for causing severe damage to property and carrying rabies. These creatures can become a big problem indoors. They can literally rip part of a roof off to get access to your home. A 40-pound racoon can fit through a four-inch-square opening. They typically work their way into your attic or crawlspace.

Racoons are scavengers. They’ll feed on whatever they can get their paws on - insects, mice or trash. They’re not picky. Adults generally grow three to four feet in length. They have thick, coarse, grayish-brown fur, with black-mask markings in the eye area, and ringed tails.
